Dadi Beach

So simple

Simply Cooking 101 is such an inspirational page! She has no limits to her talent and breaks things down so the average home chef can recreate her "Home cooking meets TV food."  Tonight we tried two main dishes and they were such a hit.
First up her: Stuffed Meatballs in a Parmesan crisp bowl (The bowl was a failure due to the lack of Parm.)

MMM.

The second dish from Simply Cooking 101 was the Almost Margharita Pizza Rolls. These were amazing. Every ingredient I love all rolled into one!

He wanted s'more!

In the grocery store Joey said the only way he eats marshmallows is if they are with a piece of chocolate and a cracker. I told him I'd show him a new way! Its pretty self explanatory!

His memory is crazy!

Joey and I were watching television the other day and somehow he remembered that they made a treat like the one above. He told me every ingredient and how to make them... I still have no idea what we were watching.

1st day at the beach!

We had hoped that one of these days the sunshine would last more than the morning so we could make it out to the beach...Today was the day! Gab Gab was much like I remembered it...only a bit smaller! The tide has taken much away over the years. Joey had tons of fun swimming and getting to play with his 1st hermit crab! He thought it was magic how he would place his hand near the crab and it would go back in its shell! Hopefully well have more beach days just like today!

Home Sweet Home!

We got a house! We move into our house tomorrow and we will also be receiving out HHG (house hold goods) tomorrow as well. Had we not, we would have had to use the base's furniture (boonie furniture!) We have the same type of layout as our previous house with a nice backyard and a huge park for Joey to play at. Hopefully our neighbors are great and we'll make it our home for the next 3 years! Pictures to follow!

GUAM!

After 3 flights, 24hrs of traveling, 18hrs of sitting, crazy food and little sleep-we are FINALLY on Guam! We had a small speed bump when we thought our hotel was on base and it was actually off base but once we got settled in we could relax. I fell asleep fast but Joe and Joey stayed up till about 3am, only to sleep till 10am (that’s a first!) It will take some time getting used to the time change!
We are staying at the Navy Gateway Inn and Suites on Nimitz Hill. We are in a huge room! Nice bedroom, kitchen (complete with HUGE fridge, stove, and a Keurig!) The price is amazing at $45 a night! We have an awesome view and are close to the site where we were married! (Top O’ the Mar) Mongolian BBQ here we come!
We are hoping that we aren't here for too long. Once Joe checks into his command we can check into housing and see when a house will be available!
